Bats don’t have the normal insects such as mosquitoes and flies to fill their belly. But what has got them all worked up are all of the moths flying around. So this time of year some bats will wake up in need of nourishment and the fifty or so moths aren’t going to do anything but tease the Bats. Which means the bats will go in search of and feed on larger more accessible creatures such as Raccoons, Mice, Skunks, Pigeons, Cats,  Dogs, Your Kids, You while you sleep. The first couple of times you didn’t even know it happened you just though it was a spider bite. Till last night when you woke up to a bat in your face!!!

The Problem with Bats are they are carriers of the viruses that they contract from the animals that they feed on. So if a groundhog has rabies.  The Groundhog would transfer the Rabies Virus to the Bat Which will  transfer it to the next thing he feeds on and so and so on.
